The challenge
Complete the demolition and substrate preparation in two high-traffic areas of the home while protecting cabinets, walls and adjacent rooms from dust and damage.
Our approach
A dust-control enclosure was installed before demolition. After the existing ceramic tile was removed, mortar residue was mechanically ground with a vacuum-assisted system. The plywood subfloor was then inspected and checked before the decoupling membrane, 24 × 24 porcelain tile and epoxy grout were installed.

A brighter, more contemporary floor designed for everyday kitchen and entryway use, with a durable low-maintenance finish.
